New Jersey has the highest property taxes in the nation, yet taxpayers see little relief, limited transparency, and no meaningful reform. For decades, government in Trenton has relied on short-term fixes, borrowed money, and shifting costs onto homeowners rather than confronting the structural drivers of rising taxes.
The New Jersey Property Taxpayers Coalition exists to change that.
We are a coordinated, disciplined advocacy organization focused on outcomes. By combining research, public accountability, targeted legislative pressure, and grassroots engagement, we work to force reforms that reduce the tax burden while protecting essential public services and local communities.
Property taxes should not drive families out of their homes, seniors out of retirement, or businesses out of the state. New Jersey can do better—and taxpayers deserve nothing less.
